Introduction to iasWorld Workshop, 9:45am – 10:45am (IAS, A)
Introduction to iasWorld is a hands–on workshop that provides an overview of the iasWorld product with a focus on the iMaintain module. This workshop provides an overview of role/security settings, reporting and iasWorld configuration, as well as detailed explanations on performing searches and user navigation and transactions.

Setup/Running Reports in iasWorld Workshop, 9:45am – 10:45am (IAS, A)
This hands–on workshop explains running batch process/reports, adding new reports and parameters and granting end user access to reports.

Protecting Data Integrity in Orion, 9:45am – 10:45am (All Orion)
Protecting the integrity of appraisal data is vital to the valuation process. This session focuses on the advantages and disadvantages of Orion options, including defining field and cross field edits on the item page and the power of validation calculations.

Introduction to Spatialest, 9:45am – 10:45am (IAS, A)
This session provides a demonstration of the spatialest product and an explanation of how it fits into the iasWorld product strategy. spatialest offers a powerful user–friendly modeling interface that combines the visualization and spatial analytical function of GIS with more traditional techniques and functions of CAMA modeling, such as regression analysis. Attendees will gain an understanding of the internal spatialest data model, data transformations and exploratory data analysis by graphical and tabular means, model building and comparable sales valuation.

Introduction to PRM, 9:45am – 10:45am (IAS, A)
Searching for data in your database? iasWorld’s Property Records Management (PRM) tool is the place to start. Searching for property in iasWorld PRM is simple and can be done in a number of ways, from simple parcel identification number searches to advanced SQL searches. This session introduces participants to search options and provides tips on how to get the most out of each search.

IAS Munis® Interface, 9:45am – 10:45am (IAS, A, T)
This course details the features, setup and operation of the interface between IAS and Munis. Use of the batch interface, the real–time interface and a combination of the two will be discussed. Additional topics include: enhancements for IAS version 6 and Munis version 7, customer accounts, sales history, value details, exemptions and combined real estate/personal property accounts. Materials: Interface User Guide, Interface File Specification (IAS – XML – Munis).

IAS Multiple Tax Cycles, 9:45am – 10:45am (IAS, T)
This session reviews how the cycle impacts tax calculation, tax collection and tax adjustments. Examples from Hawaii and Fulton County, Georgia will be used.

Introduction to iasWorld Tax Workshop, Pt. 1 & 2, 11:00am – 2:15pm, (IAS, T)
This workshop provides a detailed overview of tax in the PRM and iMaintain applications, including PRM datalets, payment postings, payment reversals, deferrals, payment plans, levies and more.

Introduction to iasWorld CAMA Workshop, Pt. 1 & 2, 11:00am – 2:15pm, (IAS, A)
The first part of this workshop provides an overview of CAMA and its underlying database structure. During the second portion users learn how to use multiple models in residential CAMA and how to use factors to adjust cost.

New Functionality in Orion, 11:00am – 12:00pm (All Orion)
Orion base system and client–funded enhancements are demonstrated during this session. Topics include user job names, easier version scrolling, the Kansas appeal packet and Web appeals.

Exploratory Data Analysis using Spatialest, 11:00am – 12:00pm (All)
This session provides detail on spatialest functionality for analyzing data, preparing new variables and viewing the results in GIS format. Histograms, pie charts and cross–plots will be created to illustrate the graphical tools available to the analyst and new variables will be created to create date of spline and age variables, as well as grouped variables.

Data Visualization in iasWorld, 11:00am – 12:00pm, (IAS, A)
This session showcases powerful new ways users can work with and visualize data using iasWorld.

Using Computed User–Defined Fields, 11:00am – 12:00pm (IAS, A)
Most users utilize user–defined fields in IAS to store data elements customized for their unique requirements. Less frequently used is functionality for defining new calculated values using these fields. Values can be used for a variety of purposes, including display on reports and screens, edits and inclusion in other calculations. During this session we demonstrate how to define user–defined fields computed from other data and how to set up the calculations, as well as how to use user–defined fields to modify other values.

Orion Processes – Appeals, 1:15pm – 2:15pm (All Orion)
Appeals are part of every appraisal office’s duties. During this session we review Orion functionality, including defining appeal levels, appeal custom fields, the appeal value tab and virtual folder, group appeals and appeal forms. The session also includes a discussion of appeal processing at various client sites.

OASIS New Developments, 1:15pm – 2:15pm (All OASIS)
During this session we demonstrate parcels splits and combination functionality that has been developed for the City and County of Denver, CO, as well as other new OASIS developments and software fixes.

IAS PRM – Behind the Scenes, 1:15pm – 2:15pm (All IAS)
Learn how iasWorld uses setups for datalets to retrieve information and display it to the user. We will also discuss how the query is built and alternative methods of retrieving data, such as built–in Oracle functions, IAS functions and more.

Template Configuration with Third–Party Tool, 1:15pm – 2:15pm (All IAS)
This session covers how to modify custom templates for iasWorld using third–party tools, such as XML Spy and/or Textpad.

iMaintain Interface for Market, 1:15pm – 2:15pm (IAS, A)
With release 31 of iasWorld, online functionality previously provided by Oracle Forms is now available. During this session we compare the old and new interfaces, demonstrate where to find and how to use the new versions of various tasks and provide a short description of how the two interfaces differ.

Introduction to iasWorld Assessment Administration Workshop, 2:30pm – 3:30pm (IAS, A)
All properties in iasWorld require associated basic information. If you are new to iasWorld, join us in this workshop to learn how basic information is found, presented and managed in the Assessment Administration module. Attendees will get acquainted with how ownership, legal and assessment records are navigated and managed in iasWorld.

Create Lists in iasWorld Workshop, 2:30pm – 3:30pm (IAS, A, IT)
During this workshop we show attendees how to create, manage and maintain lists within iasWorld and how lists can be used in various iTools throughout the product.

Orion Custom Reporting System (CRS), 2:30pm – 3:30pm (All Orion)
The Custom Reporting System allows users to generate queries and reports using a powerful collection of data extracted from the production environment. This session focuses on best practices, advanced queries and real–world examples currently employed by Orion users.

Modeling & Valuation in Spatialest, 2:30pm – 3:30pm (All)
This session focuses on model building, comparable sales selection and analysis. We will use the model builder wizard to build regression models “on–the–fly;” will demonstrate the ease of building comparable sales selection rules; will demonstrate GIS and internet map–based location of sales and subjects; and will address strategies for valuing larger jurisdictions.

IAS PRM – Add/Change/Delete, 2:30pm – 3:30pm (All IAS)
During this session attendees learn how to add new datalets, add lines to a datalet, change column headings, change data being retrieved and delete columns from a datalet.
